BIRCH AQUARIUM:  You will be fascinated by the wonderful exhibits offered here including "There's Something About Seahorses" and "Whales: Voices in the Sea."  Located in La Jolla Shores, the Birch Aquarium is part of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UCSD.  

LA JOLLA PLAYHOUSE:  Located on the campus of UCSD, this marvelous theater venue features award-winning productions as well as programs in theater education and outreach for adults and youth.  

LA JOLLA OPEN AIRE MARKET:  This delightful Farmers Market is open Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located in the downtown "Village" on the corner of Girard Avenue and Genter Street.  Local farm-fresh fruits & vegetables, a diverse food court, live music and unique art are all available for your enjoyment.

MOUNT SOLEDAD:  One of La Jolla's most prominent landmarks, Mount Soledad is home to a Veteran's Memorial honoring servicemen and servicewomen.  It also offers breathtaking views of the coastline.

TORREY PINES GLIDERPORT:  Looking for a high-flying adventure?  Watch hangliding or paragliding over the Pacific Ocean, or sign up with the experts and try it yourself!

LA JOLLA CAVES:  Take a kayak tour from La Jolla Shores or walk down the 145 steps from       La Jolla Cove and enjoy these spectacular caves nestled in the cliffs.

LA JOLLA RECREATION CENTER:  Located in the downtown "Village," this center offers a variety of summer camps, classes & activities for people of all ages and abilities including basketball, adult fitness, gymnastics, Mad Science, and much more.

THE ATHENAEUM MUSIC & ARTS LIBRARY:  Located at 1008 Wall Street in Downtown La Jolla, The Athenaeum is one of only 16 non-profit membership libraries in the U.S.  In addition to its excellent collection of books, sheet music, DVDs, etc., the venue hosts an eclectic year-round schedule of concerts, art exhibits, classes, and lectures.
